In recent years, the interest in electromobility among the public has been growing. In order to determine the impact of the development of electromobility on the increase in innovation of the supply network, it is necessary to analyze the situation of the potential use of electric vehicles in the supply network, presenting their advantages and disadvantages. The article presents the characteristics of electromobility in the supply network in the region and the SWOT analysis. Electromobility is becoming a key element in the transformation of the transport sector, contributing to more sustainable and green communities.
The objective of the study is to examine the mediating impact of competitive advantage on the relationship of supply chain management (SCM) practices and firm performance of the pharmaceutical industry of Thailand. For this purpose, the questionnaires were distributed among the 1400 supply chain manager which yield a 40% response rate. Based on SEM analysis, it is found that customer relationship (CR), time to market (TM), postponement (POS) have a significant association with the firm performance. While, supplier partnership (SP), information quality (IQ), information sharing (IS) have an insignificant association with the firm performance. On the other hand, it is found POS, CR, IQ, IS, SP have also a significant association with the competitive advantage, whereas, POS is not having a significant association with the competitive advantage. In addition, the mediating effect shows that competitive advantage has a partial mediating among all of the SCM practices and firm performance of the pharmaceutical industry of Thailand. These findings show that competitive advantage is considered to be a significant mediator in the relationship of relationship of SCM practices and firm performance of the pharmaceutical industry of Thailand. The current added a body of literature in the form of empirical findings which could become an area of interest for the future research. The research is also beneficial for the supply chain managers to know about the importance of SCM practices to improve the firm performance through the competitive advantage. The research limitations and future directions are also discussed at the end of the study.
In scientific work the peculiarities of innovation processes in the activity of high-tech companies are determined. The functional and managerial components of ensuring the security of development of high-tech companies are determined on the basis of establishing centers of responsibility for the support of innovative projects. The model of support of sustainable innovation development is developed and the algorithm of formation of the structure of business of high-tech companies with the purpose of strengthening of organizational security of out-of-date development is offered. The recommendations on harmonization of innovation development and security of commercial activity for high-tech companies are given.
The scientific literature points out that cooperation increases the capability of an enterprise to engage in innovative activities. Besides, due to a change in the concept of regional development, much greater focus in growth in territories is placed on human capital, and the essential role of education and knowledge in innovation is stressed as well. Sustainable innovation is not only an economic category, and it mainly involves a social process where cooperation plays a great role. The research aim of the paper is to assess cooperation as a factor influencing sustainable innovation in the regional aspect based on the case of the bioeconomy industry in Latvia. The development of the bioeconomy represents transition from fossil to renewable sources, and it encompasses important industries of the economies of the regions of Latvia: forestry and agriculture. In Latvia, bioeconomy industry enterprises were quite cautious in their innovative activity and mainly focused on existing innovations that they adapted to their needs, and their innovative activity was observed only within their region. A positive fact is that most of the enterprises highly rated their cooperation with scientific and research institutions in developing innovations. The promotion of cooperation is one of the objectives that specialists of the Entrepreneurship Centres of the planning regions of Latvia have to deal with, yet their capacity is not sufficient for the promotion of cooperation among innovative enterprises in the region in the context of sustainability.
The article deals with innovative and sustainable strategies and approaches to the implementation of technical and technological development at the enterprises in order to strengthen their competitive position in the market and to boost their economic security. We employ the case study of Ukraine in order to provide a practical example of enterprise development. Our paper analyzes Ukraine’s position in the global competitive environment. Moreover, we show the relationship between the technical, technological, and innovative development of enterprises and draw some conclusions from that comparisons. Based on our analysis and our empirical results, we propose several measures aimed at increasing the level of technical and technological development.
Growth trend of cyber security incidents is being monitored globally; the volume of cyber-attacks is increasing. Cyber statistics data, growing number of certified information management systems show the practical importance of data security at the internationally level. Scientific data security problems solving decisions are represented using technical point of view, protection motivation theory, security standards adopting. This article is created to develop scientific data security approach using productivity as one of the main measurement for the information management systems benefit. Data of measure “Procesas LT” in enterprises of the IT sector shows level of concern and counterfactual impact evaluation creates possibility to verify the expediency of EU funds.
A good knowledge of terrain characteristics and movement possibilities within it are crucial conditions for operations success. If a commander and his staff have enough information about the terrain, he can optimize a combat formation and its movement in an open terrain. Such as optimization can finally spare manpower as well as equipment and decrease probability of loss of life. This paper deals with a complex mathematical model of terrain passability, which respects both geographical and meteorological conditions in the terrain and with its adaptation to calculation in the environment of geographic information systems (GIS). Such a model can be directly implied into command and control system to support decision-making processes.
The main problem of an off-road vehicle movement in an open terrain consists in considering the properties of a given surface; also, technical properties of a particular off-road vehicle have to be considered. The model of terrain passability is based on measurable factors that characterize the natural environment, which is possible to calculate using the data saved in GIS databases. While calculating parameters for a complex model, it is necessary to consider data quality, which influences the level of vagueness of the resulting calculations. In order to express this level of vagueness, a method of fuzzy functions was selected and applied while calculating the individual deceleration coefficients given by the natural factors. The method of cost map was selected for the final evaluation of possibilities of vehicles movement. The complete procedure was debugged in the environment of ArcGIS 10.
In contemporary economy innovations by the scientists are seen as a driving force of the economic development. Innovation performance is vital to achieve sustainable country’s competition and to stay in pace with other developed economies (Grossmann 2009).
The paper aims to reveal theoretical aspects of innovation activity, to systemize and analyze the key elements of measurement framework and relationship between the innovative activity and patents, research and development (R&D). The study is devoted to describing the conceptual elements of innovation, assessing if prevailing understanding about innovation performance approves theoretical approaches and reviewing innovation tendencies in Lithuania. Obtained results lead to get the general view about the innovation activity development. The research methodology is based on theoretical approaches’ comparative analysis, academics’ survey examination and generalization.
