This paper examines the impact of a context indicator of integrated order, such as ways of organising one’s life in old age, on social security issues. In the framework of ageing society it concerns the problems of socio-demographic determinants of life choices in old age, which are of the key importance for the sense of social security. Authors explore the results of the research on the representative sample of 1006 adult Poles, which has been carried out using the quantitative method - the diagnostic survey based on a questionnaire survey technique- in 2020. The preferred ways of organising one’s life in old age were measured in five areas on the basis of the proprietary six-point nominal scale. The applied methodology helped to explore the preferences of the adult Poles regarding the forms of one’s life organisation in old age and to study the determinants of the choices made. The analysis used contingency coefficients - V- Cramer and Phi - to determine the strength of the relationship between the nominal variables assigned to the social security areas under study. The Chi-square test was used to determine the relationship between the studied areas of social security and age groups. The sociological approach in measuring the selected context indicator of integrated order in the sustainable development paradigm has been strongly emphasised by authors. The findings suggest that ways of organising one’s life in old age are key factors for the sustainability of social security in ageing societies.
This article presents the challenges and opportunities the application of a quality management practice in healthcare organizations presents in view of the psycho-emotional well-being of employees when implementing quality management practices. The article addresses the academic challenge of the impact implementation of a quality management practice has on the emotional well-being of employees, which is formulated as the following conundrum: does an implemented quality management practice improve the emotional well-being of employees. Although studies show that a quality management practice put in place has a positive impact on the quality of work, the introduction of a quality management practice sometimes has a negative impact on the emotional well-being of employees. The objective - to assess the impact of a quality management practice implementation on the emotional well-being of employees – has been met. Analysis and synthesis methods were applied, and a quantitative survey of 285 workers in three healthcare organizations was conducted. It was established that although all employees of organizations surveyed experience stressful situations at work, they feel better in organizations where a quality management practice is in place than in those where the practice is not in place. Therefore, we can argue that the implementation of a quality management practice improves the emotional well-being of employees.

The topic of energy use and energy consumption is currently largely dealt not only in the architecture and civil engineering but also in the military environment. The operating costs of military camps and facilities can be rising extremely quickly especially in hot climate conditions where the requirements for appropriately air-conditioned working places and other mission related areas are crucial for the uninterrupted command and control of any operation. The energy use and energy consumption must be considered already during the planning phase of the military facility and it must take into account as many limiting factors as possible. This is not a completely new problem and many different approaches to the solution are already here and ready to use, and one of them is a method or a system called energy audit that is an efficient tool for improving the energy use and consumption.
The aim of the research is to assess convergence processes of a social-economic security indicator in Latvian municipalities and its components in the period 2011–2015, calculated as an integral indicator on the basis of primary statistical indicators.
